15th August 2008 (Night Prayer)
My dear children,
Thank you for celebrating my feast today in a simple but meaningful manner. It is not the pomp and ceremony which is of most importance but the humble and genuine show of holy love. Look to the Scriptures to the story of the widow’s mite. She humbly gave all she had to her Lord and God. Many of God’s children create much noise and want to be always noticed for the good works they perform. You have been told in Scripture Matthew 6:1-4 that your left hand must not know what your right hand has done. Do not want fanfare and accolades on earth because you will not then receive reward in Heaven. Be silent and do your acts of love in a humble and background manner and you will receive your rewards in Heaven. My dear little children you must learn the true path of humility. Strip back the patterns which have started in your childhood where you associate rewards of love with the notice you are given for any good deeds or behaviour which is pleasing to others. God’s ways are so different to man’s ways. Worldly success is measured by achievements which will bring rewards. These rewards are not lasting and will count for nothing when you are called to give an account of the life you have lived. Concentrate first on your spiritual life as this will be everlasting. The way to gain Heavenly reward is by giving yourself totally in holy love to God and by reaching out in love to your neighbour. I remind again the words Jesus spoke “blessed are the poor of spirit the Kingdom of Heaven is yours”. Put the love of God first and you will receive from God much more in return.
