12th January 2009 (Night Prayer)
My dear children,
I ask you to be constant in your tolerance of those who are on a different path to you. You have been chosen to be a beacon of light to those who flounder in the darkness and despair. Be patient with them and show them the path of littleness by your service of holy love. Always be humble of heart. Do not look for spiritual highs. This is not the way of your Lord and God. Look to the words of Old Testament which foretold the path of your Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. Read Isaiah 53:6-7. He was silent as He took the burden of sin of all mankind onto His shoulders. He suffered, died and rose again to give all humanity the chance to live their lives anew. Do not waste the opportunity you are given to change your sinful ways and be cleansed through the Sacrament of Penance so that you can begin again to live your life in the fullness of God’s love. You must break the chains of self which keep you bound. Let go of any prideful thoughts, words and deeds and embrace a humble heart as you follow the path which Therese took as a servant of the little way of holy love. Do not be boastful about your good deeds. Stay silent and always allow all the glory to be given to Almighty God. Be thankful for the many graces and blessings you receive. I invite you my dear children to call out to your Prince of Peace in fervent prayer the words “come Lord Jesus”. The time soon approaches for the coming of your Eternal Bridegroom. Put on your wedding garment in preparation to meet your Lord and God. Be prepared my children. Make sure that your lamp is filled with the oil of salvation as you wait to receive your Lord and God into the temple of your heart. Look to Scripture and study the meaning of the name Immanuel – God with us. Pray my little children for deeper understanding as you discover more fully the width and depth of God’s love for you and for all. Read Ephesians 3: 14-19.
