16th February 2009 (Night Prayer)
My dear children,
Do not give up hope even though everything is crowding in on you and you find it difficult to see God’s plan. Look to the light of Christ which shines brightly calling you to come out of the darkness into the brightness and warmth of the light. A new day dawns and the darkness disappears. The darkest moments happen just before the dawn of a new day. Embrace your adversities and cling to the hope of the new dawn. Accept the trials and sufferings of the day and be purified in your thoughts, words and deeds so that you trust in God’s plan of salvation for you and for all. Many reject God’s plan and want to take the path which is easy. The time you are given is so fleeting. Do not waste a moment. Choose the narrow and more difficult path. Happy are the pure of heart they shall see God. Do not be afraid to embrace humility. Look to the example given to you by your Lord and Saviour Jesus. He gave of himself completely as a ransom for the sins of all mankind. He was obedient to the Will of his Father. Break down the old patterns of self and surrender your will to God by your humility, your obedience and your discipline in following the ways of the Lord. You have been asked to follow Christ. Look to the words he spoke when he told the disciples that he had come to serve and not to be served and to give his life as a ransom for many. Learn to embrace littleness so that Jesus becomes your main focus. Decrease so that Jesus can increase.
