7th August 2009 (Morning Prayer)
My dear little one,
Do not be afraid to step out alone on your spiritual journey of purification. The desert is an important part of your renewal. You are not alone – I am with you. Call my name and I will answer you. The prince of darkness will try to disturb your thoughts with feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness to do the Father’s work. Do not be drawn into his web of deceit. Stay constant in your faith. Be led by the Spirit of God praying always with an open heart for the Will of God to be accomplished. Tread carefully remaining docile at all times to the Spirit’s guidance. Love is the way of your Lord and God. Let your acts of self denial be accomplished through loving the difficult and by remaining silent when your first thought is to speak in haste. There are many ways to show love to God and to help in the salvation of souls. Follow the little way of holy love. Let St. Therese be your guide. Do not choose always the easy path but be happy to take the more difficult path. You must climb the narrow path up the holy mountain of the Lord. Learn to recognize the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Tune your thoughts into the ways of your Lord and God. My ways are not your ways, my thoughts so different to the thoughts of mankind. Do not doubt my presence and my love when you face trials and difficulties. Bring your burdens to me and I will give you rest. Endure the small thorns in life so that the beautiful rosebud can blossom and bloom into a fragrant flower of the Lord. Will you be my little rose bearing many flowers with sweet perfume as an offering of fragrance and inner beauty to your Lord and God? Will you accept the crown of thorns to help in the salvation of many souls? The thorns must come first before the interior flowers of eternal beauty can bloom to their fullness then the sweet perfume of sanctity can permeate out from you as a fragrant offering to your Lord and God.
