11th August 2008 (Night Prayers)
My dear children,
Do not let your trials and adversities weigh you down. Trust in God. Trust in Jesus. Trust in the special gift you have received at baptism and in confirmation of the Holy Spirit. Pray daily to be replenished with the gifts and graces of the Holy Spirit to live your life as a trusting child of the New Covenant. You have been called to turn away from the sins and selfish ways of the world and to be pure of heart, mind and soul. You are called to not judge but instead to love. Look beyond the outward appearances of those you meet. Remember the words of Scripture God does not judge by outward appearances but from the heart within. Many of God’s peoples have hardened their hearts because of the hurts they carry. They have built a fortress around their hearts to protect themselves from experiencing any more pain and suffering. I ask you to help break these barriers which are blocking the love of your Heavenly Father. Be gentle and giving and always meet these people where they are on their faith journey. Be tolerant when you face difficulties and love with a pure heart. Be silent if your first reaction is to lash out in anger. Discern the Will of God and ask the question “what would Jesus do?” Persevere even when you face many obstacles and feel overwhelmed with the many challenges of life. Call upon the Holy Spirit and receive the grace to give you the courage and strength to walk the narrow path of holiness. Do not let any critical thoughts, words or actions prevent you from following the path of righteousness. Be holy my little ones as your Lord and God is holy.
