27th March 2009 (Night Prayer)
My dear children,
Look to Scripture to help you understand the truth. Read John 8: 31-32. Jesus admonished the scribes and Pharisees many times for their hypocritical behaviour – they were obedient to the letter of the law and kept observances for outward appearances of piety. Do not fall into the trap of false thoughts of piety my children. Jesus told the scribes and Pharisees to wash the inside of the cup not just the outside. Examine your conscience to the way you live your life. Look more to your interior life. May your thoughts, words and deeds be holy and pure. Take time this Lenten season to go to the spring of salvation and be washed as clean as the first snow through confession of your faults and failings in the Sacrament of Penance. From Jesus’ Sacred Heart flows an unending stream of blood and water. Allow the healing balm of your Lord and Saviour to wash over you and give you refreshment to begin again a new life. Listen and take heed of Jesus’ words to His disciples when He said to beware of the yeast of the Pharisees. Be careful my children that you do not get caught up in only outward observances which have no depth or meaning. Open your mind to the ways of your Lord and God. Open your heart up to God’s love for you. This love I talk to you about is agape love – holy love beyond your understanding – self giving love. God your loving Father gave you His only Son Jesus who suffered, died and rose again to bring to birth God’s new Covenant of holy love. Let the breath of God fill you with new life through the grace of the Holy Spirit. Speak truth, live in truth and allow the full union of holy love be made complete with your Heavenly Father through His Son Jesus by the grace of the Holy Spirit. Surrender my children to the holy Will of God. Live every moment of your life in full union with the Father, Son and Spirit in holy love.
