Novena to Our Lady Help of Christians

Hi on this great Feast of The Holy Trinity. On the 24th May, next Saturday we have a Day of Prayer here at the Holy Family House of Prayer in honour of the Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians. We are going to start a Novena today and pray for the success of World Youth Day to be held in Sydney, Australia in July. I have attached the Novena for anyone wishing to join us.

PRAYER TO MARY, HELP OF CHRISTIANS Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God and our Mother Mary, you see the attacks that are everywhere made by the devil and the world upon the Catholic Faith, in which by God's Grace we intend to live and die, in order that we may attain to eternal glory. O Help of Christians, renew your former victories and save your children. Console the visible Head of the Church, sustain the Catholic Bishops, protect the clergy and people who proclaim you Queen. By the power of your intercession hasten the day when all nations shall be gathered at the feet of the Divine Shepherd.

PERPETUAL NOVENA TO MARY, HELP OF CHRISTIANS (Recommended by Saint John Bosco to obtain graces and favours). TO JESUS IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT O Most sweet Jesus ,You delight in being with the children of men and being the food of their souls. Grant we beseech You that through the merits of St John Bosco who did so much to spread the love of frequent union with You in the Sacrament of Your Love among youth and Christian peoples we may receive what we humbly implore with all the fervour of our souls.

Pray for us TO THE PATRONESS OF AUSTRALIA Lord, You place deep in our heart the love of Mary, help of Christians. Through her prayers grant wisdom to our leaders and integrity to our citizens. Under her protection may Australia be granted harmony, justice and peace. Bless our country dear Mother with good, holy, priestly and religious vocations. We pray for the end of the drought both of the land and spiritual.

LET US PRAY Almighty and everlasting God, who by the co-operation of the Holy Spirit prepared the body and soul of the glorious Virgin Mary to become a worthy home for Your Son: grant that as we rejoice in her commemoration, we may, by her loving intercession, be delivered from present evils and from everlasting death. Through the same Christ, Our Lord.
